April 1st 2008 sees a major change to the Euro Info Centre (EIC) and the Innovation Relay Centre (IRC) Networks in Europe. In their place, a new support service, the Enterprise Europe Network, will provide business and innovation support across Europe. For the past 12 years, Targeting Innovation has been involved in running the Scottish IRC service and has managed IRC Scotland since 2003. In the last year alone, IRC Scotland has helped over 763 companies and assisted in the negotiation and conclusion of numerous business deals. Under Targeting Innovation's leadership, IRC Scotland was consistently ranked amongst the top ten IRCs (out of a total of 71 IRCs spanning 33 countries)
